10-Story Hotel Planned for Downtown Cheyenne

By Associated Press – 29 Aug ’14

Developers are planning a 10-story hotel in downtown Cheyenne to open by early 2016.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports builders hope to break ground in October on the 130-room Hilton Garden Inn at the corner of Pioneer Avenue and 17th Street.

Construction is expected to cost $15 million to $18 million. The hotel will include banquet rooms, a spa and fitness center and a restaurant.

An enclosed pedestrian bridge will connect it to a parking garage across Pioneer Avenue. The Wyoming Business Council approved a $560,000 grant and a $188,000 loan to the city to build the walkway.

The city will recoup the loan amount by leasing the walkway to the hotel.

Spirit Hospitality LLC of Fort Collins, Colorado, is developing the hotel. Alliance Construction Solutions is the builder.
