Police Pursuit Ends in Nebraska

CHEYENNE,Wyo.— The Cheyenne Police Department was involved in a vehicle pursuit after responding to a stalking case at 1930 Pershing Pointe at 1:30 p.m. yesterday.
Officers responded to the area after receiving a report that Joseph Mladenik, 40, of Cheyenne, was in the area making threats.

Officers found Mladenik leaving the scene in a gray Ford Explorer and attempted to stop him. Mladenik did not stop and led police in a vehicle chase onto I-80 where the Wyoming Highway Patrol took over. The pursuit was taken over by Nebraska Highway Patrol after Mladenik crossed the state line. The pursuit eventually ended near Potter, Neb.

Mladenik was found to have a .40 caliber handgun on his person and another handgun and AK47 rifle in his vehicle. He was charged in Nebraska on three felony charges, including DWUI and eluding law enforcement, as well as carrying a concealed weapon.
Mladenik has two misdemeanor warrants out of Laramie County for stalking and the Cheyenne Police Department is investigating Mladenik in connection with two other stalking cases.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
