No injuries were reported in a fire at a condominium complex in the 1700 block of Alexander Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 1:25 p.m. and arrived on scene at 1:27 p.m. When firefighters arrived on scene they noticed flames and heavy smoke coming from the roof of the five-story structure. Firefighters started to attack the fire and while other firefighters assisted in the final stages of the evacuation of the condominium.
Firefighters had the fire under control by 1:50 p.m.
Cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage amount to the concrete/brick multi-residence structure is unknown at this time.
Assisting Cheyenne Fire & Rescue at the scene was Laramie County Fire District 1, Cheyenne Police and American Medical Response.
