Cheyenne Fire Rescue quickly contained a fire located on the east side of the Sierra Trading Post Fulfillment Center on Campstool Road Monday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched at 10:07 a.m. and arrived on scene at 10:15 a.m. When firefighters went inside they encountered dense smoke. They were able to locate the fire and have it under control by 10:40 a.m. Crews were still on scene at 3 p.m.
The fire activated a portion of the sprinkler system in the facility which gave firefighters an edge in knocking down the fire and keeping it from spreading. The facility sustained water and smoke damage.
Evacuation had already taken place once firefighters arrived on scene. No injuries were reported.
Five Cheyenne Fire Rescue trucks responded and there was assistance from Laramie County Fire District 1.
Damage estimates are unknown, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
