Cheyenne Man Arrested for Bank Robbery

A Cheyenne man has been arrested in connection to the bank robbery of the Unified People’s Federal Credit Union.

The Cheyenne Police Department reports the Robert Romero Jr., 46, was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Laramie County Detention Facility on a robbery charge.

Authorities say that a man entered the Unified People’s FCU on August 28, threatened a bank employee and demanded money. Romero was later identified and located by Cheyenne Police Detectives.

The case is still under investigation. Robbery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years.
