Jeff White To Be Nominated For City Council Vacate Seat

By Staff

Following a series of 8 questions to a pool of 5 candidates, Ward 1 Councilmembers Scott Roybal and Annette Williams made their nomination on who should fill the late Jimmy Valdez’s seat.

Councilmen Roybal highlights Jeff White’s work experience and his passions as main reasons why he was nominated.

If White, who currently serves as the Deputy Administrator and Training Coordinator for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, is approved by the full City Council, he’ll have an interesting year ahead of him when it comes to the state’s budget concerns and the potential effect it could have on city government. White understands that tough choices need to be made when it comes to the budget and that the city needs to be fiscally responsible.

White needs 5 votes in order to fill the vacate ward 1 seat, which will take place at the next city council meeting.
