Robbery Suspect Arrested

CPD 11-4-20

On October 30, 2020 at around 11:30 pm, CPD responded to an attempted
armed robbery at 1922 E Lincolnway (Loaf N’ Jug). The employee at the counter stated the suspect entered the store, brandished a knife when he approached the counter, and then demanded money. The employee then deployed pepper spray and the suspect left the store on foot.

Officer Andren was driving in the area where the suspect was last seen and observed a vehicle parked with its running lights on. The vehicle then began moving when observing Officer Andren’s marked police unit. Officer Andren conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for an observed violation.

After an investigation, Donavan Studer, 22, Transient, was placed under arrest and transported to the Laramie County Detention Center where he was booked on the charge of Attempted Aggravated Robbery.
Studer also had two Laramie County warrants for Failure to Appear (Original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance) and a probation violation.

We wanted to recognize Officer Andren’s efforts in this case and for taking the extra time and investigative steps in making an armed robbery arrest.
