Short Term Water Pressure Change Expected

BOPU   3-27-18

Some customers could experience low water pressure and/or discolored water while the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (Board) connects two large diameter water mains by the North Range Business Park. The water project will connect two large water mains that are up to three and half feet in diameter and will in the long-term improve the operations of the water system. The project is scheduled to be from Monday, March 26, 2018 through Friday, April 13, 2018.

Water pressures may fluctuate throughout the length of the project but the highest potential for water pressure changes and/or discolored water is Monday, March 26, 2018 through Friday, March 30, 2018.

This type of work may cause your water to become cloudy or discolored for a short time. Thought not harmful, this water may stain laundry.  If the water is discolored let the COLD water faucet or outside spigot run until the water clears or flush the toilet multiple times. This water can be used on plants or landscaping.

Water will continue to be supplied to homes and businesses during the project. The Board apologizes for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your cooperation with our system upgrades. For questions concerning this project, please contact the Board at 307-637-6471.
