The Cheyenne Aquatic Center, 931 Martin Esquibel Drive, will be closed for a week to allow the contractor time to work on warranty repairs to the new/remodeled facility.
The Center will close Aug. 31 – Sept. 7. The Center will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 a.m.
Work to be done on the Aquatic Center includes grout work and painting.
“This warranty work on the Aquatic Center is no different than someone purchasing a new house and needing warranty work done four months later,” said Todd Feezer, Parks and Recreation Assistant Director. “In most cases warranty work doesn’t impact the homeowner that he/she has to leave the house for a week. But in this case, the contractor will need a week without having any patrons inside to make the necessary repairs.”
The Cheyenne Aquatic Center opened its doors on May 1, 2015 after a $7.3 million remodel and addition.
