CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Prosecutors will drop an unrelated drug charge against a woman who took a plea deal for hindering a homicide investigation.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports 48-year-old Kimberly Brewer said in court that she watched two men kill Anthony Hayward in December and disposed of the victim’s wallet to prevent investigators from identifying the body.

Charging documents say about two months after Hayward’s killing, Brewer tried to sell marijuana in a school zone to a Cheyenne Police Department detective.

The Laramie County District Attorney’s Office agreed to drop that case in exchange for Brewer’s plea to being a non-family member accessory after the fact.

Dagoberto Ontiveros and Joshua Bowen were also arrested in Hayward’s death. Ontiveros has pleaded no contest to second-degree murder while Bowen faces a Dec. 14 trial.
